On Tuesday, 11th May, Roots will take its first small step back to group singing by organising a series of 'garden bubbles.' These will see a maximum of six singers taking part in the weekly practice and singing together for the first time since last summer.
Musical Director Willow Songsmith and Rowan Songsmith will still be leading via the Zoom video conferencing platform, but it is hoped that as many choir members as possible will use the garden bubbles as a way of easing themselves back into the world of group singing.
Once further restrictions are lifted from the 17th May, practices will allow up to 30 members to come together in an outside venue and this is being eagerly looked forward to by many of Roots Choir.
Although strong Covid measures will be in place to keep everyone safe, the Zoom platform will still be used for teaching and for those who are not quite ready to return to group singing.
