A Pleasurable Start To Folk On The Farm Choir

Around twenty singers took part in the first of our Summer Sing Outs which are being run as taster sessions to gauge interest in more regular sessions taking place in the village school.
Led by Keith Kendrick from Derby Traditional Music Club, our main song was a three part harmony of Abroad For Pleasure or the Holmfirth Anthem as it is otherwise known.
Considering we were a very mixed bag, we didn’t do too badly!  Take a look at the video and you’ll see how we got on!  By the way, the strange squeaks in the background came from little Annie who at two years old is an aspiring diva!

Our next Sing-Out will be the Lammas Ale, on Sunday, 24th July, 2-5 pm. Once again we’ll follow up with a shared picnic so if you play a musical instrument, please bring it along.  Sue, Ruth, Brian and Andy entertained us last time and Sophie got hooked on my melodeon!
