Ashby Arts Festival – Unison In Harmony Festival Of Voices

As part of the 2019 Ashby Arts Festival Roots Community Singers is organising an exciting new harmony singing day.

Unison In Harmony - Festival Of Voices will be led by the renown folk group THE TEACUP TRIO who will teach a range of songs during a morning workshop which will be followed by an optional afternoon showcasing concert.

The workshop runs from 10.00 am - 1.00 pm.

Led by The Teacup Trio, a range of songs will be taught in three and four part harmony.

Afternoon Showcasing Concert - 2.00 pm

The optional (and free!) afternoon session begins at 2.00 pm and will give all workshop singers the opportunity to feature in a show casing concert where they will perform the songs taught during the workshop.

They will be joined by two local choirs and the Teacups themselves who will perform short sets to demonstrate the wonderful variety of voices and songs enjoyed by local singers of all genres.

The day is open to everyone whatever their ability.  No musical knowledge is required as everything is taught by ear and don't worry if you think you can't sing - this workshop isn't about excellence, but about fun and the enjoyment of singing with others.
